Advice Codes |
| The Advice codes are found in Record Positions 65-66. These codes can be modified by posting either an 'AM1' or an 'AM5' document. See PROS V PWS Table 3.2C. Advice codes are used with requisitions, cancellations, and modifications. Everything else uses status codes. |

Explanation |

| 2B | Requested item only will suffice. Do not substitute or interchange.
Constractor shall compete and use qualified source.
Also applies to obsolete or inactivated items previously rejected with status code "CJ".
PROS may reject a requisition without a 2B code or another code that references the 2B present |
| 2C | Do not back order. Reject any unfilled quantity not available to meet SDD or RDD. Suitable substitute acceptable ("Fill or Kill"). |
| 2L | Quantity reflected in quantity field exceeds normal demands, however, this is a confirmed valid requirement. |
| 22 | Combination of 2L and 2C. |
| 24 | Combination of 2B and 2G. |
| 26 | Combination of 2B and 2L. |
| 31 | Combination of 2J and 2G. |
| 33 | Combination of 2L and 2J.

| 34 | Combination of 2B and 2N.
Requested item only shall suffice. Do not substitute or interchange. Item required in one continuous length as expressed in Quantity field (RP 25-29) and Unit of Issue field (RP 23-24). No other configuration is acceptable and/or multiples of the unit pack is not acceptable. |
| 39 | Combination of 2B and 2P.
Requested item only shall suffice. Do not substitute or interchange. Item required in one continuous length as expressed in Quantity field (RP 25-29) and Unit of Issue field (RP 23-24). If requirement exceeds the unit pack length, multiples of the unit pack is acceptable. |
| 6P | Represents new and unused material. Contractor may offer materiel in another condition, but customer must accept prior to contract award. If new and unused is not accepted by customer, requisition must be cancelled. |
